Two-Hundred Percent?!

Well now you guys are just making me look silly for all the stressing and fretting I did leading up to this project.

This week has been one hell of a roller-coaster. Exhilaration and celebration, tempered by the sobering amount of work I have ahead of me. I'm thanking the stars that I at least made myself design and layout the books to completion before launching the campaign. Knowing that I'm ready to charge out of the gate as soon as this is wrapped up makes me feel a lot better.

And we've kind of blasted through those stretch goals, huh? That's fine, that's fine, I'm relatively creative. I'm sure I can come up with some more.

Some people have asked for bookmarks, and I think that's a great idea. These are hefty books, and you may need to save your place as you read through Ethan's tales again, or just mark a favorite comic for easy location. So I'm going to see if I can design a nice little placeholder for you.

I've also got some new Add-On options lined up. While it hasn't really been widely broadcast, the online store that previously handled all of the Ctrl+Alt+Del merchandise has gone out of business. I've been in the process of trying to secure some of the Ctrl+Alt+Del stock before it gets liquidated.

After the campaign has ended, all backers will have an opportunity to nab some of this stuff before it's gone forever. So if you always wanted a Zeke Plushie, or a Winter-een-mas Fleece Blanket, this will be your chance to add one to your pledge super cheap.

All of that will be possible via the pledge manager after the campaign, and we'll have more information about that towards the end of the month.

Reward Tiers and the DVD set

Since adding the Animated Series to the DVD set, that particular Add-On seems to have become rather popular, and I've been fielding a lot of questions about whether certain tiers include the DVD, or how to go about adding one on to a tier...

To make things a little simpler going forward, I've created a new BOX SET PLATINUM EDITION Reward Tier at $130, which is essentially the $100 tier with the DVD Set factored in.

If you've already pledged at the DELUXE tier, and added $30 for the DVD set, the PLATINUM is the exact same thing. You can adjust your pledge to the new tier if you want, but it's unnecessary. The PLATINUM tier is solely a matter of convenience.

Wow... so that happened!

Funded in a mere sixteen hours! I had been expecting my first Backer Update tonight to be along the lines of "What a great first day, guys! We'll get there!"

Instead here it is. "What a great first day, guys! WE'RE THERE!"

So first I want to start off by drawing your attention to a new Stretch Goal!

Because we hit $151,000, all Reward Tiers $35 and above will now include both seasons of the Ctrl+Alt+Del Animated Series! This will be a digital download for most tiers, but all of the Signed DVD sets will now include three DVDs! One disc for the book files, and then a disc each for Season 1 and Season 2 of the Animated Series!

The Animated Series has been largely unavailable for many years now, and I'm so excited to be able to offer it one last time, to all of you, as a huge thank you for believing in me and this project!

So... where do we go from here?

Well, first of all, I don't want to go too crazy with Stretch Goals. I've seen them really bog down some campaigns in the past, and I don't want to be telling you that everything is delayed because shipping rewards got super complicated. Additionally, I started this Box Set off at a super high level of quality, so there aren't a ton of improvements to be made.

But with that said, I will continue to investigate what additional value I can add to your pledges without risking complicating the campaign overall. So stay tuned, we have twenty-nine days left to go!

I'm also going to try and be fairly judicious with these backer updates. I've backed some campaigns in the past where I got 2-3 update emails a day, for weeks on end, and it got pretty annoying. I don't want to be annoying, so while I will certainly keep you up to date on news and the process of making these books happen, I'll also try and keep them targeted and focused.

This has been an absolutely whirlwind day. I've been trying to keep up with messages and comments, and I've absolutely heard some of your questions and requests regarding some slightly different tier options (like buying 3 or 4 books). I promise I am looking into the best way to add those into the mix, so just be a little patient with me.

Not only did we reach our goal in a day, but we're also a Kickstarter Staff Pick, so yay for us!
