Survey Reminder

This morning I sent out a reminder email to everyone who has not yet filled out their surveys. This was the easiest way to get another round of emails out to people in case they didn't receive the first once.
If by this afternoon you still have not received an email from Backerkit with your survey link, you can message me through Kickstarter and I can get your link for you directly.
88% of all our backers have already responded to the survey, and I can't thank you enough for that. Pretty soon these updates will have pictures of actual items to show!
Pledge Manager Update

So all of the pledge manager emails were sent this morning. Over sixty-percent of our backers have already answered, and I want to thank you all so much for getting on this so quickly. The sooner I get item counts the easier my job becomes, especially starting to figure out how many book sets need to go to each of the distribution centers around the globe.
All of the plushies and Snuggle Bundles did in fact sell out as well (within the first 60 minutes, no less), so they are no longer showing up as an add-on in the pledge manager. Warning: If you did secure a plushie/snuggle bundle, I've heard reports that going back to edit your order may cause the items to be released back into the pot until you reconfirm your new order (allowing someone else the chance to snap it up in the meantime.) This is not 100% verified, but I'd hate for anyone to lose their snuggle bundle this way. So edit your orders very quickly and at your own risk (or contact me to do it for you).
If you have not received your pledge manager, and you've checked your spam folder for emails from @backerkit.com, you can message me here on Kickstarter and I will try and get you sorted out.
July 15th is the date I will lock down orders, meaning you will no longer be able to add items/alter your pledge.
Pledge Manager Emails Incoming

I've started inviting Kickstarter Backers to the pledge manager, so keep an eye on your email!
Quiet time is over!

Over half a million dollars showed up in my bank account this week.
I took a screenshot, so I can remember it fondly, but now it's time to start sending it off to other people so those people can make us some stuff.
But first, I need to know how much stuff to make. That's where the pledge managers come in!
On Monday June 22, at 11am EST, I will begin sending out pledge manager surveys via Backerkit. So keep an eye out, and make sure it doesn't sneak into your spam folder.
When you receive your backerkit invite, you'll be able to jump in and review your pledge, make sure that you're getting all of the items you wanted to get, and if you aren't, you can add and pay for them at that time. I've made a quick video to give you a preview of what that will look like:
I cannot stress enough that the sooner you fill these out, the easier my job becomes. You will be able to jump in later and update your address if something changes, but I need a solid picture of item demands so I can place orders and start getting these items realized.
The lockdown date for orders is July 15th. This is the date where you will no longer be able to make changes to your order (such as purchasing additional add-ons, etc) and your credit card will be charged following this date.
Pre-orders, and what does it mean?

Unless I am mistaken, Kickstarter has finished charging (or attempting to charge) Backers for their pledges. People were notified of problems with payment, and had some time to rectify those problems... and if they didn't they have now been dropped from the project.
It looks like we only lost about thirty backers, which in the grand scheme of things is fantastic. I imagine it will still be another week or so before I actually have the funds in hand, but I have everything prepped and ready to go the instant I do.
Shortly after I receive the funds, you will be receiving your pledge managers. And shortly after you receive your pledge managers, I will be opening up a very small book pre-order window for people who missed out on the Kickstarter for various reasons.
I'm primarily doing this because Kickstarter does not accept PayPal pledges, or Discover cards, and I had quite a few people contact me during the campaign who can only transact online with those methods. I think it's fair that I give them the opportunity to secure a book set.
Certain items were listed as "Kickstarter-exclusive" during the campaign, and that will remain true. The signed bookplates, the sticker sheet, and the commemorative print set are only available to actual Kickstarter backers, and will not be offered to preorders.
Preorder customers will have the option of buying a book, a DVD set, a poster and/or (if they haven't sold out), the plushie/blanket set.
I just wanted to be clear about the difference between Kickstarter rewards and preorders so there was no confusion about it when you saw the preorders open.
Again, as backers, you will receive your pledge managers first, which also means you get first crack at buying a plushie/Snuggle Bundle combo.
I'm still estimating pledge managers to go out the week of the 22nd, but as usual, I will keep you posted as I firm up details.
As usual, if anything is unclear or you have questions about the process here, don't hesitate to comment below and I will do my best to get you some answers :)
